Good evening everybody. I haven't been here for really some time, but I'm still building!

In the summer of 2022 I started a showrod kitbash project using some body parts from 2 different Monogram showrods and the chassie/frame is styrene sheet and profiles.

Front wheels are from a third Monogram show while I really don't know which kit the rear tires comes from. The bench seat is from an early issue 1940 Ford Pickup by Monogram and the driver is a head from a PEZ-dispenser! (which I often use for my cartoonish showrods)

The main body is a previously built model which I bought as scrap, missing all wheels, the front portion of the frame and headlights, that's way I choose to scratchbuild the whole chassie/frame/Axle and wheel assembly.

First picture shows the main body before I removed all the original paint.

And, testing the look....

As seen in this pic the drivers "crown" is rather big and would be sticking out thru he roof....



and this old Corvette dash is what the driver will see in front of him:

Body has been sectioned and got higher pillars to accomodate the driver wearing his crown (which was "chopped" a tad as well.

Tha dash and main body are now back in bright red metallic with a lot of clear. The chromed emblem in the front was scratch-built and got some BMF before paint. And, as You can see I did some customizing to the dash as well, adding new meters.





Still a lot of work to do, but hopefully it'll be finished by the end of June or earlier!
