Here is my version of the beast. I intend to finish it with a matt varnish to reduce the glare.
This is the first big model I made in 25 years and it gave me a lot of pain as there was much to adjust.
The real irritation of this particular model is that the Erco ball turret on the bow was not applied to the first batch of Privateers that reached the Pacific front in October 1944, as I pointed out somewhere else in this forum last week. They had the same A6 turret as was used for the B-24J. There is photographic evidence to prove that. Quite an omission from a reknown company as Revell is... This former Matchbox kit was supllied with new decals, but the specific unit (VPB-106) did not consist of Privateers with this turret.

There are other issues with this kit: the guns in the blisters are 2mm too long, so I shortened them to be correct. Some of the models shown in this thread have the big radar pod applied right under the shark mouth, but this pod was used for the first time in September 1945 so it shouldn´t be there on this specific model.
Adjusting the blisters took me e lot of time (and filler) and the clear parts are too thick.
The decals are great and very detailed. If you choose to build this kit, don´t forget to apply the two "fire extinguisher" decals just behind the last bomb door on both sides. They are there on the sheet but only indicated for the French Navy version.
As for the colourscheme: I used Humbrol #25 blue matt and #89 Mid Blue matt. For the tail this colours were mixed as the blue colour there should be darker than the lower fuselage. For the underside I used # 34 White matt with a lot of thinner.
